    Filter Formula Use

    Hi,

I am using a filter to hide empty rows in a sheet that lists awards obtained from another sheet with the following formula

Please Login or Register to view this content.
This will result in a 1 or 0 in the helper column. I use a toggle to show hidden rows or unhidden rows with content.

The problem I am trying to solve is that when I change (delete or backspace) entries in another sheet it will create a 0 in the cell that is referenced (in above formula cell D4) by the formula. If I use the spacebar to clear the cell the problem is no longer. However other people will be using the workbook and will most likely use delete. How can I modify the formula so that cells with 0 as a result of deletion of the referenced cell formula in another sheet also return 0 in the helper column. Hope this is clear.

    Thanks for any help.

    Re: Filter Formula Use

Thanks for the help! We do know that the spacebar should preferably not be used - just making an observation!

In the mean tme I found a work-a-round. For some reason the IFERROR computation which includes 0, does not recognize the 0.

I changed the cell reference to =IF(ISBLANK(Sheet!BJ4," ",Sheet!BJ4) and eliminated the 0 from the IFERROR formula. This seems to work, although not quite sure why it did not respond to the 0.
