    vlookup

    I am trying to use vlookup to pull information from one sheet to another. I am using an emp. ID as the common field of referrence. After I am done putting in the formula that is all that stays there. Nothing populates all that shows up in the cell is,
    =vlookup(H406,Sheet3!A:C,1,true)

    Looks like you have the option set to display cells as formulae instead of values.

    Have a look in Options for the option to display formulae instead of their calculated results.

    also, you may have the cells formatted as text. change the cell formatting and that should solve it.
