    Convert time text to value

I currently have 7:20AM in a cell. It reads as text so I can't do anything with it.I have tried a number of ways to convert it to a time value with no luck. Any help is appreciated.

    Thanks,.

    Hello,

    Enter a space before AM/PM

    Select the range, press Control+H

    Find what: AM
    Replace with: AM

    space AM

    do same for PM

Did it but the fields still read General. Do I need to do something more to be able to use them in formulas??

I think, cell might be formatted as text. try this, select the range, go to

    Data >> Text to Columns

    then click Finish
