    Conditional Formatting Excel 2010

I am trying to highlight any cell in column B that is less than the value in the cell in column A.

If B2 is less than A2 highlight, if B3 is less than A3 highlight etc

    Thanks!

    Select B2:Bxxx,

Conditional Format> New Rule> Format only cells that contain Less than =A2
    Select formatting
    Does that work for you?

That works great, thanks. Now I want each cell in that column to have the same Conditional Format. When I copy, paste special format it keeps looking back to the original row. I tried to use manage rule to delete the $ sign before the row # with no luck. Any ideas?

If you select the entire range initially when you apply the rule, Excel will automatically itterate the cells to be consistant. If you didn't do that, go back and clear your rules and start again. Yes, you definitely do not want the anchor $ signs.
