    Shrinking Buttons

    Hello All,

I am having problem with a new PC at work, (Win7, Office2010). a workbook that I have been using for years on my old PC, (XP, Office2007) has several active x buttons on one sheet. After a few minutes of use the buttons shrink to a tiny size and I have struggled to grab them to resize, they are that small. It keeps doing it. I am really getting frustrated with this. It is costing me a great deal of time.

    Thanks,
    Jim

I don't think this problem has ever been resolved when it has been reported before
    Hope that helps.

    Thanks for the quick reply.

I didn't see any other threads on this issue when I searched. I will have to creaqte a userform menu that I can call with an F-Key to replace the buttons.

    Thanks,

    Jim

    Re: Shrinking Buttons

I have seen this when using my laptop connected to an external monitor that has a higher resolution than the built-in screen. I have never found a way to fix it. You may be having a related issue depending on the support your machine has for the monitor you are using.

    Try grouping them.

    Re: Shrinking Buttons

This PC is a brand new Dell with matching Dell monitor. That should not be an issue. I also tried grouping them with no luck. I have removed them and replaced them with new ones created in 2010 still no luck. I have given up and have added context sensitive menus called up by the F3 key. This has solved my current problem but it is not a great statement about the state of excel 2010 is it.

Jim, does the same thing happen if you use Forms controls on the worksheet?

One last question. Is the display configuration set up to use the native resolution of the monitor? I would expect it is, out of the box, but it's easy to check.
