A few weeks ago I posted a query about MS Excel 2010 crashing. I'm running Win XP and removed my MS Office 2003 and installed MS Office 2010. Whilst Outlook, PowerPoint and Note all worked, for some reason when I tried to open one of my Excel files, Excel 2010 crashed. Having posted on this forum and looking at others responses things pointed to a Bluetooth issue. Having tried options suggested (Registry edits, Removing Excel Add on’s etc) I still had the problem. Then whilst Excel was trying to load I noticed 'Initialising Printer' came up just before Excel crashed. I have an HP all in one printer and decided to update its driver from the HP site.
Following the printer driver update Excel 2010 now works opening my files without problem
As for the Bluetooth issue well it may have been causing some issue as I had Microsoft Bluetooth as well as a Belkin usb plug in device. Removing Bluetooth just took another potential problem out of the loop.
