How to use offset, match, vlookup & index in combination to search for values.

    Hi Guys,

I really appreciate any help you could provide with this problem.

    I have two columns of data in sheet 1: A & B

In sheet 2, I have a row listing the values of A and a column listing the values of B. In between there are specific values I need to search for. How do I create a statement in Column c of sheet 1 which will lookup the value of A, lookup the value of B, and match that with the intersection of the value in the table in sheet 2.

    Thanks,

    -LG

    Try Index/Match

    e.g.

    =INDEX(Sheet2!$B$2:$F$100,MATCH(B2,Sheet2!$A$2:$A$100,0),MATCH(A2,Sheet2!$B$1:$F$1,0))

where Sheet2!A1:F100 contains the table with row headers starting at A2 and column headers starting at B1.
Where there is a will there are many ways.
