I just got Excel 2010 & wanted to look at two different sections of a worksheet. I created a new window, but both worksheet windows were scrolling in unison, both vertically and horizontally. Both also showed [HVSync] in the title bar.

Previously, (in Excel2003) to get this effect, I had to run a macro to turn syncing on. Now the only way I can find to turn it off is via VBA. There is a button on the View tab which says "Synchronous scrolling", but it doesn't seem to do anything. I cannot find anything online on how to do this.

Not to vent too much, but I really hate the new interface. Everything takes longer. While I can run the macro to get what I want, there must be an existing means to turn this off somewhere. Can anyone tell me how that's done?
