Macro button to pull and dump data > help

    Hello

I have 3 worksheets (raw, master, results)

    raw contains dump from access

    need:
-i have a button "name &info" when executed needs to get the person's name from raw data, and vlookup their address/phone
master needs to have a macro that can pull person's name, and address/phone #

then, when i finish with inputing their data (based on the customer's response), i have a button called "next person" which dump data in results page and gets the next person down from raw data.

currently in my example, I have in "raw data" Chris Allan as my first person, when i complete their entry in master, i click on "next person" which would send my completed answers of Chris Allan to "results" worksheet and then get the next person down, i.e. Jason Smith.

Is this possible? im a beginner wid macro, so i apprecaite the help..im assuming this is a easy task? can someone pls help

No worries - and welcome to the forum!

I have attached a proposed solution.

    A few things to note:
    1) this works by incrementing a row number in cell B8 of the Master sheet.
    2) The macro assigned to the next person button does not clear anything from the Raw Data sheet, it simply moves data.
    3) If you'd like to see a previously moved voter, just decrease the number in cell B8, but you won't get a record of that voters responses.
    4) The book is now in a macro enabled format.

Let me know if I'm on track.

    Regards,
    Tom

I wouldn't step backwards to Excel 2003 version unless it's absolutely necessary. This is in Excel 2007 format macro enabled workbook format.

The macro button for get customer will increase the number by 1, and the next person macro will also increase the number by 1 and will move the data and clear whatever was entered by the dropdown menus.

What problem is the macro giving you?

Re: Macro button to pull and dump data > help

    Hello

it keeps saying the macro retreivevoter is not available (that my macros are enabled).

also, whenever i try to save the file, it keeps wanting to revert back to the file in "the temp folder"......it keeps saying read only. any ideas why?
