    Delivery Dates

    Hi

I'm creating a spreadsheet for my suppliers, and I'd like to enquire how to address Promised Delivery Date against Actual Delivery Date. I'm creating another blank cell to say in Days if they are over or under the Actual Delivery Dates. Has anyone got a suggestion? Please kindly assist.

    Regards

    Re: Delivery Dates

Hi Ryback, welcome to the forum.

With Promised Delivery Date in A1 and Actual Delivery Date in A2, try:

    =A2-A1

If the answer is negative, you delivered ahead of schedule. If it's positive, you delivered late.

you could apply conditional format to turn date Red if delivery over due

    Re: Delivery Dates

    Hi, thanks for that.

I've attached a spreadsheet, but what I've decided to do is also to add a chart on the performance of the suppliers, which will impact how well the suppliers are performing, against the actual delivery and a promised delivery date.

Is there a way of going about just by measuring Promised verses actual OR the number of days being early or late delivery days, bearing in mind, that I want to filter only the supplier that I want to measure on?

So for example, if I filter Perth Cutting, it gives me a list, but the chart should also calculate automatically their perfomance. Can it be done?

    Regards

you could also put this in K3 and copy down

    =IF(I3<J3,"LATE","ON TIME")

Sounds like pivot tables would be the best way to go.

See attached for an example of how best to go about it.
