    Question Combine Named Ranges

    Hi,

    I have 3 named ranges that I would like to combine in the Data Validation, "List" option.

    Having:

    =NameRang1,NameRange2,NameRange3

    Does not seem to work.

    Am I using the wrong symbol to combine these or is there another method?

    Thanks

    Re: Combine Named Ranges

    Hi martindwilson,

    Hmm? This appears to be more complex than originally thought. How's this done through VBA?

    Is this the only method?

    Re: Combine Named Ranges

    well if they are not dynamic ranges then you could reference them in another range of cells and name that
    say
    z1 =a1
    z2=a2
    z3=a3
    z4=q6
    z5=q7
    z6=r12
    z8=r13 where a/q/r are your original ranges

    Re: Combine Named Ranges

    Might this rather convoluted, non VBa method, of combining dynamic lists be of any interest?

    Add or subtract from List1, List2, and List3 as required, just keep the lists continuous i.e. no blanks.

    Drag Column I down as far as you realistically expect your longest list to be, plus a bit more.

    Hope this helps.
