Inserting a cell value in a froup of text

    Hi,

I have a spreadsheet that contains a group of numbers in a table with a narrative cell below.

I want the narratives numbers to update automatically according to the number in the table as they move, for example ( I also need to round to millions):

    Cell A1 = $10,200,000
    Cell B1 = $25,800,000

    Narrative should read =

Profit of $10.2m and turnover of $25.8m for the month.

I'm struggling with rounding to the 0.1 millions, can anybody provide me with a formula/ method of doing this?

    Thanks,

    Sam

PS: apologies for Typo in the subject!?

    Hi,

    Try:

="Profit pf "&TEXT(ROUND(A1/1000000,1),"$#0.0")&"m and turnover of "&TEXT(ROUND(B1/1000000,1),"$#0.0")&"m for the month."

    Another variation:

    ="Profit of "&TEXT(A1,"$0.0,,")&"m and turnover of "&TEXT(B1,"$0.0,,")&"m"
    Hope that helps,

    Try:

"Profit of "&TEXT(A1,"$#,##0.0,,")&"m and turnover of "&TEXT(B1,"$#,##0.0,,")&"m for the month."
