    Excel 2010--Blank List Wanted in Drop Down List

    Greetings:

    I've made a drop down list that refers to another spreadsheet in the same workbook. Code is;

    ='Status Options'!$A$1:$A$5

    A1 and A5 is blank. I want the blank option for users to clear their selection---however when I save it no longer lists the blank options in the drop down menu. Is there a way to force it to list the blank as well? Thanks.

    I'm not an excel expert so this may be a dumb answer but... what if you put a space in the A1 and A5 cells? Then they technically won't be blank and Excel might not ignore them?

    Wow! How did you get it to ignore the blank lines? I'm having issues with that!
