Return Multiple Values as a List Using Multiple Criteria

    Hi folks,

Here's my situation. I have a database with multiple columns. I am interested in retrieving Column D's information only when Columns J contains text "Enrolled" AND Column U contains "0". The results (any value in Column D where this is true) would be presented in the form of a list.

The goal of this formula would be a sort of quality control measure. Any ideas? I've thought of using the Index formula or the DGet formula, but not sure if either one would fit this scenario.

    Thanks,
    Kevin

    Hi,

    Have you considered using autofilter?

    Hi there,

I have, and I use it for other databases I run. However, I use this particular database primarily for multiple calculations (not just this one), and using the autofilter would hinder some of those calculations. I was hoping a formula might do the trick!

    Hello,

Use Advanced Filter. If you want to do with Formula, it would require Array Formula. If you have huge data, it would slow up the calculation. Or record a macro with Advanced Filter.

Re: Return Multiple Values as a List Using Multiple Criteria

    Hey there Haseeb,

With Advanced Filter, I'd be needing to look at the whole table. However, I think I have something like 36 columns, and I just want to return one column's worth of values based on two other columns. Ideally, the massive table could be kept on one sheet and the formula could be implemented on another. I think an array formula would work, just not sure how I'd set it up.

    Thanks,
    Kevin

See the attached. Use a dynamic range name to limit the lookup range.

    Hope this helps
