For some reason, I can't create links between 2 workbooks in Excel 2010 on one particular computer (instructor's computer in training room), also I am using Windows 7. However, I can create links on my computer in my office using Excel 2010 and Windows 7

Here's what happens: I have both workbooks open, I click in the cell in the destination workbook where I want to create a link with the source workbook and I type an equal sign. Next, I click on the thumbnail of the source workbook on the task bar to select it and Excel kicks me back to the destination workbook without the reference appearing in the formula bar. Next, I try the View tab and select switch windows and this doesn't work either. I've closed and opened Excel several times and the same thing happens. I have tried googling the problem, but I can't find an answer. I am at a loss, please help.

Thanks,
