Total hours worked based on two time entries

In cell B1 I have a starting time and in C1 I have an end time. For cell D1 what formula can I use to calculate the total time worked?

    Sample attached.

    Thanks for any help.

Thanks, simple. I was thinking it was more complicated than that.

Changing things up a bit. Is it possible as in the example attached. To get a total of hours worked Mon-Sun without having subtotals for each day?

Basically cell W4 would have total hours scheduled/worked.

    Thanks,
    Nick

    Try this formula in W4

    =C4+F4+I4+L4+O4+R4+U4-B4-E4-H4-K4-N4-Q4-T4

custom format that cell as [h]:mm
