Create sections of rows

I have a number of categories on my Y axis, and will be adding lines to each category as my project progresses. Is there a way to group rows into categories or sections, so that when I add a line, the formulas apply to the entire column within that section without re-writing the formula?

You could use a Named Range and insert your rows within that range. Without seeing what your formulas do, though, it's hard to guess what might actually work. If you can post an example including a sheet before changes and a sheet after changes that would really help. Thanks!
