Question Too many IF statements - Enter Account Manager Name depending on adjacent cell text

    Hello everyone,

I'm struggling to find a way of automatically entering an Account Manager's name if the adjacent cell contains a client they deal with. We have over 100 clients so there are too many for a nested IF statement.

Could you please suggest a few ways of overcoming this issue?

    Many thanks

The easiest way would be to have a master list of your clients and their account managers, which I'm guessing you are likely to have. You can then use VLOOKUP to return the Account Manager's name.

You could also use the Client List as a Data Validation source so that they can't be entered incorrectly.

    See the attached example.
