    Finding selected numbers in huge amount of data

    hello everyone i have been researching alot but cant find a formula that can search selected number (100's of numbers) in huge list of Numbers is there anyone who can help me out ..any formula that can be implement ..waiting for the advice ..

    Search functions include:

    LOOKUP()
    VLOOKUP()
    HLOOKUP()
    INDEX/MATCH

    Post a sample workbook showing your data and what you mean by "search for 100s of numbers"... layout a set of "results" for us to see exactly what you're looking to accomplish.

    Click GO ADVANCED and use the paperclip icon to post up a copy of your workbook.

    Hey thanx for the reply i have uploaded the excel file which contains the data and the selected number to find in that DATA

    Heh, it's like pulling teeth here. Once again I see your sample data and numbers, but no indication what you mean by "I have to find these numbers in Data". Find them and then....?

    Oh well, so I'll guess. Let's assume you want to know if the number 7749 exists in that data anywhere. In P10 you could put this formula and copy the cell down:

    =IF(COUNTIF($F:$J,O10),"Yes","No")

    That's an example of a "result". How's that? BTW, none of those numbers are in your data.
