    Finding a value based on 2 inputs

    I have the below s/s

    From (USD Size) To (USD Size) Security Fee (USD)
    - 33 A 1
    33 163 A 2
    163 978 A 3
    - 163 B 3
    163 489 B 10
    489 815 B 20

    I need to return the Fee (USD) based on the Security and the range From/To. So if i have security A and size = 153 i should get 2 as the result.

    Can someone help?
    Thanks
    Max

    Hi Max,

    Give the SUMPRODUCT function a try.

    i don't need to add the values The first 2 columns contain the Min & Max, the third the security. I need to identify first the ranges that are applicable for the security and then select the Min/Max range that matches the size. That will give me the fee.

    Re: Finding a value based on 2 inputs

    =SUMPRODUCT(--(A2:A10<=153),--(B2:B10>=153),--(C2:C10="A"),D2:D10)
    Adjust ranges as required. You can also place "153" and "A" in cells, then use the cell references in the formula.
