How to delete extra rows in a file

I had an open file with 65,000 rows. Instead of opening up a new blank document, I just cleared the contents of the 65,000 row file and copy and pasted new data into it. My problem is that this new data only has 3,000 rows and the scroll bar on the right has it going all the way down to the 65,000th row. I selected all rows below and deleted, but it's still not making it so the other rows aren't visible. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Have you tried a save/close and re-open on the file? Usually works....
