Transfer column from a different workbook

I would like to transfer all the content in a column from one workbook to an other but canīt figure out how. Could anybody help me?!
To explain the problem further, Iīm trying first link cell A1 in one workbook cell to A1 in an other workbook and then drag the formula (=[Workbook4]Sheet1!$A$1) down. This works whit in a workbook but not if the information is collected from an other workbook.
If itīs possible to transfer the whole column, in this case A, this would be even better.

Any suggestions?
