    Help with a vlookup?

Hi, I would really appreciate some help with a vlookup which would save me a lot of time.

I have two tables next to eachother...

    id detail1 detail2 detail3 id2 detail1 detail2 detail3
    id detail1 detail2 detail3 id2 detail1 detail2 detail3
    id detail1 detail2 detail3 id2 detail1 detail2 detail3
    id detail1 detail2 detail3 id2 detail1 detail2 detail3
    id detail1 detail2 detail3 id2 detail1 detail2 detail3
    id detail1 detail2 detail3 id2 detail1 detail2 detail3
    id detail1 detail2 detail3 id2 detail1 detail2 detail3

I need to search id2 for values that match id1 and return the whole data for those values (id2, detail1, 2, 3 etc).

The purpose is to align the rows and then compare the detail values in new columns.
Could anyone advise me on a suitable formula?

    Many thanks

Not sure what you meant by:

Would you mind attaching a sample workbook? Click Go Advanced, then click the paperclip icon. It would be helpful if you attach your book with before and after results with explanation.
If your question has been satisfactorily addressed, please consider marking it solved. Click the Thread Tools dropdown and select Mark thread as solved.
