Hard-coding a List of Values in a colum

    Hi

I need to share an Excel template with colleagues for them to insert data - some of the fields/columns have a list of values associated to them, so I want to hard-code those for the relevant columns, so that the users can simply select from the list:

eg. values in a column like this:
    Gold
    Silver
    Bronze

I seem to remember it has something to do with the Data Tab and Data Validation, but I can't remember what to do next. Please help.

if you want your data validation list to appear in A1:A10.

In A1 and copy daown to A10

Data validation > allow = List > Source = Gold, Silver, Bronze Done
