Cannot empty clipboard - Excel

Hi,

I work a lot on excel copying huge data and pasting in other workbook. But some times excel shows error message "Cannot empty clipboard".
I tried going to edit tab and emptying the clipboard but I don't find any data stored. I have to log out and log in again to do the copy and paste activity.

Is this a bug or there is some way to get out of it without logging out?

have you any third party software that monitors the clipboard? usually download a manager like getright

Yes, I work on an application which is a third party vendor application. But not sure about the monitoring.

Its CiTRIX application.

using remote desktop? possibly its the server that needs fixing

I've tried many suggestions and none work. I finally got it to work by uninstalling the darn thing and then reinstalling it.

I have found the software that is causing the problem on my machine; I use TeamViewer on both my home machine and at work, and since installing the most recent version, I get this error. Close the Teamviewer, and the problem goes away. Since I don't need it running all the time, (only when I want to connect to another machine) then it isn't too mcuh of a drama.

I had this same problem as well and it only comes up when copying and pasting to/from excel and a citrix app. This solved the problem for me:
