    Unhappy Statistical design help needed

Hi, I am on the verge of completing a research proposal for doing doctoral studies in public health, but my statistical analysis is still not done. I really need help and I am damn confused.. heres my hypothesis
The study is cross sectional where the outcome variable poor oral health occurs as a result of stress(dependent variable) in adolescent populations in 3 different countries and in addition to this the higher chances of having poor oral health if stress and tobacco abuse are related then when not related to tobacco abuse. Please help with the analysis method, power analysis etc.. It reallllyyyy urgent... I am in a dead lock situation.

    Hello and welcome the forum,

I think you might be in the wrong forum for answers to these questions. You need a epidemiology forum or at least to provide more details on your correlations. As for sample size calculations, this program by vanderbuilt university is a great free tool.

    Hope this helps.

    Hi there,

I understand that you're seeking help with statistical analysis for your research proposal in public health. However, this forum may not be the best place to get the specific assistance you need. I recommend visiting a specialized platform or website that focuses on statistical analysis and research methodology for public health studies.

As the others have already noted, I don't think any of us on this forum has the statistical expertise to provide help. We are good at Excel programming. It's possible -- if you help us understand the statistical analysis you need to perform -- we will be able to help program that analysis into Excel. I doubt we have anyone on here who can advise you on the statistical analysis to perform.

If it will help, this site is one I frequent when I need to learn about statistical analysis and how to implement those analyses in Excel: https://real-statistics.com/ Again, if you know the analysis you need, you may find a good tutorial complete with implementation in Excel on that site.

Did no one notice that this question was asked 12 years ago!!! The OP only posted once and never followed up. I'm pretty sure this one can be laid to rest.
