    California State Tax Formula

Can someone help me figure out the formula for Ca. State Tax for my spreadsheet?

IF over $0 but not over $7124.00 =$0
    IF over $7124.00 but not over $16,890 = $78.36

I would need to divide that $78.36 by 24 to get the bi weekly paid in amount.

    Thank you.

What do you pay over $16,890?

Our single employees are part time, so they don't make over $16,890.00

    Our married employee
IF over $0 but not over $14,248.00 =$0
If over $14,248.00 but not over $33,780.00 =$156.73

The $156.73 would need to be divided by 24, also.

OK so if the annual pay is in A2 and B2 either contains the text single or married then try this formula in C2

    =IF(B2="Single",IF(A2>7124,78.36/24),IF(A2>14248,156.73/24))+0

    format C2 as currency

You could also use a VLookup where the Range_Lookup is True and a table.
