    Help with a COUNTIF

    Solved, Thanks!

    Hi there, it has been a while since I've used Excel, and I'm trying to use a COUNTIF statement to count a set of numbers in a range. I need to count numbers between 60 and 69 within a given set of cells. What I have that does work for counting some is:

    =COUNTIF(B3:E3,">=60") of course this works for counting numbers greater than 60. I need the formula to count greater than 60 and less than 69. I am probably looking right at a very simple answer and not seeing it. I also need it to count other numbers but if I can get the formula right I can just plug them in.

    I also need to sum these numbers, but I'm not sure how to sum the answers, as of course I'm having no luch with the autosum.

    Thank you for any help.

    Re: Help with a COUNTIF

    ...and if you want to sum all numbers between 60 and 69 inclusive then you can use the same logic with SUMIFS

    =SUMIFS(B3:E3,B3:E3,">=60",B3:E3,"<=69")
