    Counting Text in Cells?

    Hi All,

I'm a teacher and have just finished giving grades to my students. I used a formula from Excel's help to convert a percentage into a letter grade (eg 60%--> "C"). I was wondering if there is anyway I can count the number of each grade and display it in cells so it looks like a miniature summary? Eg:
    5 A
    12 B+
    12 C

    etc.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Cheers,
    Steve

B:B means the range of the data wanted to be counted, and "A" means the criteria, you can substitube "A" for "B+" if you want to count the number of student getting B+.
