    Conditional Formatting (Expiration Dates)

    Hello,

    I have a list of expiration dates that i need to flag according to several criteria.

    I'd like to use conditional formatting to highlight each of these a different color:
    Dates that expire in two months
    Dates that expire in three months
    Dates that have already expired

    I have the last one down but i do not know what formula to input for two or three months in advance.

    Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

    There might be a more compact method, but these two expressions should do the trick.

    =DATE(YEAR(TODAY()),MONTH(TODAY())+2,DAY(TODAY()))

    =DATE(YEAR(TODAY()),MONTH(TODAY())+3,DAY(TODAY()))

    Mark.

    Re: Conditional Formatting (Expiration Dates)

    Hi, I'm new to this, so bare with me.
    I have a bunch of laptops that regularily gets signed out anywhere between 1-14days.
    I have a start date (B2) and return date (C2). for example, Sign out is March 13, Return date is March 25

    All I want is to have the sign out date go red when its due on that day.
    So far I cannot find any google examples that meet my specific needs.
    I'm trying conditional formatting in excel 2007 but I cannot figure out the string.

    Thanks for help
    Shane

    Question Conditional Formatting (Expiration Dates) continued

    Hello,

    I have a list of expiration dates that i need to flag according to multiple date criteria. The first post was helpful, but did not quite apply to my situation.

    I'd like to use conditional formatting to highlight each of these a different color:

    Date value within cell until 11 months from date value within cell, color green.
    11 months from cell date value until 12 months after cell date value, color yellow.
    From a cell date value of 12 months to 15months after date in cell, color orange.
    Date value after 15 months of cell date, color red.

    I have tried every formula I can find for this type of thing, but I cannot seem to figure this out.

    Any advice, or knowlege about how to do this, would be greatly apreciated. BTW, it will be going to help USAF military members maintain up to date medical records, on charleston AFB, USA. Again, thank you for any help you would be willing to offer.

    God Bless America,
