    Have a value 2100 want to mutiply first 75 x6 then up to 1000 x4 then over 1000 x3

Hi I have a value 2100 I want to mutiply the first 0 to 75 by 6 then everything from 76 to 1000 by 4 then everything from 1001 and over by 3

I have tried to figure it out with no luck, any help would be much appreciated.

    Thanks.

Assuming your value of 2,100 is in cell A1 then this should work ...=IF(A1<=75,A1*6,75*6+IF(A1<=1000,MAX(0,A1-75)*4,925*4)+MAX(0,A1-1000)*3)

Thanks for the quick reply Andrew it works well but what I should have said was what I actually wanted to do, I thought it would be easier just to multiply and I could work the formula out but I can't figure it out! have more lots more to learn... Here below is exactly what I want to do.

I have a value 2100 I want to find 7.5% of the first 75 then find 4% of everything from 76 to 1000 then 3% of everything from 1001 and over, then add those values up and display them in the field.

    Thanks for your help.

Should be straightforward enought ... =IF(A1<=75,A1*0.075,75*0.075+IF(A1<=1000,MAX(0,A1-75)*0.04,925*0.04)+MAX(0,A1-1000)*0.03)
