keeping names in a list in the same order after sorting values adjacent

    In Excel 2010

I have a list of names (not alphabetical) and values in the column to the right of them. These values will change daily depending on the number of hours overtime each man works. At the beginning of each day I need to print off the list showing the top 8 with the lowest values, for this list I have openend a new tab that copies the original list and then there is a filter on the values, however, sometimes the claues for people can be the same and what I need the list to do is remain in hte name order it is on the master so if there are 3 people with the same number they need to show on the second list but they need to stay in the order they appear of the first list. Hope this makes sense and someone can help me please

cant you just auto filter on the bottom 8 values on the main sheet and print that?
i think most of 2010 filters is similar to 2007

Put another sort column in - call it Original. Put sequential numbers next to each name in the original order you want to return to. Do your sort for the report, then resort on the Original column.
