I am creating a template for a timesheet and would like to have everything in drop-down lists to simplify billing. There are 5 types (O, F, M, D, L) each of which will have multiple items. So in the timesheet column A will have the type and column B will have the item.
What I'd like to do is use Data Validation to show a list of items in each cell of column B given the selection of the corresponding cell in column A. Is this possible?
I will have a hidden worksheet with the 5 types down column A and then each item for said type extending to the right in the same row.
I have attached a sample for you to work with. Obviously the lists will be longer, but for now 3 items in each type should be enough to work with.
