    protecting cells in 2010 starter

At work, they replaced my computer. My old one had Excel 2007. This new one has 2010 Starter. I keep gettting "unprotected cell" errors but can't, for the life of me, figure out how to protect or lock the cells. It's not the same method as it was in the 2007 version, that's for sure. I did some searching but all the methods I find are incorrect and confusing. I want to find my old computer and get my 2007 back! So, how do I protect these cells?!

The method of protecting cells is no different.

In the Home Tab you can access protection in the Cells section
    Hope that helps.
