    Lost!!!

I am currently building a database that will allow me to track soldiers leave. Ok I have a worksheet that has all of there names with the months at the top I have it to where I can total the days of that month...However I want to be able to click on a certain month and show that individuals days of that month...Ok lets make it more complicated, the second thing I want to do is everytime I add a soldiers leave date i want it to automatically generate a control number on a sperate form that is an XFDL format form, is this even possible? All help greatly appreciated.
