    IFstatement help...

    I am stumped, again...
    here is my current formula...
    =IF(P3>9.49%,3,IF(P3>7.49%,IF(P3<9.48%,2,IF(P3>5.5,IF(P3<7.48%,1,IF(P3<5.49%,0)))))

    I am trying to get:
    - a value of 3 returned for anything greater than 9.50%
    - a value of 2 returned for anything between 7.49% and 9.48%
    - a value of 1 returned for anything between 5.5% and 7.48%
    - a value of 0 returned for anything less than 5.49%

this formula is fine with returning a "3" and a "2" but just gives me a "FALSE" for everything else?

Thanks in advance for any help!

    tRY:

    =LOOKUP(P3,{0,0.055,0.0749,0.095},{0,1,2,3})

    OR

    =MATCH(P3,{0,0.055,0.0749,0.095})-1
Where there is a will there are many ways.
