    Talking Tables in 2007

So, the revisions to tables in Excel 2007 are pretty awesome! I really like the functionality. My only gripes are they added [#ThisRow], but not [#ThisColumn], and column headers cannot be formulas.

Is anyone else having issues with this? I use the indirect formula to get past the lack of [#ThisColumn] issue by doing this: INDIRECT("Actuals_" & $A$1 & "[Grouping]"). Does anyone have a better resolution?

    Thanks!

I don't really get what you're trying to do. Index/Match combos, though, are generally preferred to the volatile Indirect function. See this link for a more detailed explanation and, if you seek help still, please explain in more detail what you're trying to do for those of us who don't use tables all that often. If it's what I think it is, Index/Match will probably be better and we can possibly make it more powerful.

I am running into this same issue. Just wondering if you have figured it out???

My data works very nice in the excel 2007 tables because of the [#thisrow] and headers, but my tables get very wide, very fast, so I prefer to have the "headers" on the left column, but excel 2007 does not agree with me . lol
