Multiple conditional formatting for range of cells

    Hello all,

I've got a spreadsheet that I need to modify.

I basically need the cells in the range A41:C45 to change to a yellow background if cell D13 has a value of 14.

I can get that working no problem, but I also need the same cells to change back to a white background once data has been entered into them.

    Can this be done?

    Thanks in advance,

    - Jon

Not sure if it's just a conversion thing from 2007, or some other confusion, but that doesn't seem right to me Blake.

I see the two conditional formats needing to be:
    =$D$13=14 (formatted as yellow)
    and
    =A41<>"" (formatted white)

    ?

    It works for me.

    If d13 does not = 14 then white -

I put in lots of different numbers and the only number that makes the rgn yellow is 14! when 14 gets deleted the rgn turns white agaain.

like i said, its not elegant but seems to work - if ive understood correctly!

    =$D$13<>14

I think one of us has the wrong end of the stick.

    I read the OP as
'the cells need to turn yellow if D13=14, but if data is intserted into any of the cells A41:C45, those cells need to turn white.'
