    conditional borders?

    i know this probably simple, but how do you create a border for every two rows (i.e., a box around 3&4, 5&6, 7&8, etc.)

    thanks!

    Re: conditional borders?

    Try using conditional formulas:

    =MOD(ROW(),2)=0

    and

    =MOD(ROW(),2)=1

    and formatting one with upper border and side borders.

    The other formatting with lower border and side borders.

    You may have to play around and reverse depending on how you select the rows.
    Where there is a will there are many ways.

    Re: conditional borders?

    conditional format the area (like columns A-C attached). using ISODD(row()) to make side bars and top bars.

    THen another rule for ISEVEN(row()) to make just side-bars
