    Trouble Copying Formula

I am trying to copy a formula, the series goes like this

    =Max(C1:F7)
    =Max(C7:F13)
    =Max(C13:F19)
    =Max(C19:F25)

    and so on.

Is there a way to "copy" this?

No but you can use a different approach.

Assuming you start in G1, you can use:

    and then copy down.

If you post your workbook for me to modify I can provide a solution. It worked for me in a sample workbook.

When you say it doesn't work, what exactly happens?

    Re: Trouble Copying Formula

Thank you. I am trying to calculate the 30 min range (H-L) on 5 min bars of data

PS I added a header row for clarification, so the formula would start at C2, not C1

    Re: Trouble Copying Formula

There was an error in the formula. The correct formula, which now takes into account the header row, is

If you do not use a header row then the formula has to change.

    Implementation attached.

Works for the first 277 lines, then it shows "0". The formula appears to be copying OK, just no calculation.

    Re: Trouble Copying Formula

The calculation is working as specified. Starting in row 278, the formula refers to data in rows 1658-1664. Those rows (and those beyond) don't have any data in them.
