possible to use trendline forumla to generate extra data points

Hi, is it possible to "easily" use the function from a trend line (if it is linnear or polinomial) to fill in extra data points?
Lets say I have "time" on the x axis, and a data set with an established curve behaviour (and I can use the trend line to find the function), and I want to keep the y axis data the same, but halve all the x values - easy to multiply the colum of x axis values by .5 and get a new data colum, but not so good if I only have a few values to start with.
Without acually hand coping the trendline formula for each cell and then solving for each x value is it possible to do this a bit more automated?
