    Possible to combine multiple VLOOKUPs?

I want to create a serious of two VLOOKUP functions but am having a lot of trouble. More precisely, I want to create one formula where the formula tries to match the value in A1 and if it doesn't find anything try matching the value in A2.

How do I accomplish this? Thanks for the help!

    Try:

    =IF(ISNA(VLOOKUP(A1,yourtable,index,FALSE)),VLOOKUP(A2,yourtable,index,FALSE),VLOOKUP(A1,yourtable,index,FALSE))
Where there is a will there are many ways.

That worked! Thank you so much. From the research I had done, it looked like the ISNA formula needed to be involved but I couldn't figure it out. This is great.
