    Time Question

I have a spread sheet that is auto generated by a website. When the data gets put into excel the time formats come in as h:mm, but they should be mm:ss.

Is there any way to fix this in mass, I need to do calculations on the time.

    See example below

    One solution (manual):
put 60 in an empty cell somewhere on the sheet
    copy it
select all the time cells you want converted
    select Paste Special, Divide
Reformat the cells as either hh:mm:ss (to see the hours as zero) or just mm:ss

    Re: Time Question

    Thanks that works.

I also kept experimenting and came up with another solution

    =Time(,Hour(A1),Minute(A1))

I think this will end up working better given What I need to do for the rest of the reporting.
