linking between sheets of same .xls

Can't seem to discover how to link/refer to a cell in another sheet of same .xls. Can anyone help?

To link to other sheets, you would simply use the syntax:

='Sheet 2'!A1

or similar.

The easiest method is to start typing your formula (i.e. type '=') and then when you want to reference a cell, even on another sheet, just click on it and Excel will put in the cell reference in the formula for you. It will then use a reference much like brokenbiscuits mentioned above. That should save a lot of typing (and potential errors).
