    Auto insert 'user id' into a cell

    Good afternoon folk

    Each time a workbook is opened is there a way for the sytem to automatically insert the 'user id' for the person logged into the PC

    This code will do it as long as macros are enabled.
    Is your code running too slowly?
    Does your workbook or database have a bunch of duplicate pieces of data?
    Have a look at this article to learn the best ways to set up your projects.
    It will save both time and effort in the long run!

    Yes. You'd need to use VBA and a Workbook Open event. You would, of course, have to ensure that the user enables macros.
