    formula for percentage ranges, can't figure out

    Hi everyone! I am a excel newbie and I am ready to pull my hair out! Having trouble with this formula I want to reference the percentage in cell G2. Here is the formula,

    >= 75% add 6
    65-74.9% add 3
    55-64.9% add 1
    45-54.9% none
    35-44.9% subtract 1
    25-34.9% subtract 3
    Less then 25% subtract 6

    Could someone help me with this, I keep getting errors with everything I enter after IF(G2>=75,6,IF(G2?

    Thanks

    Can you give us an example spread sheet.

    But going on what you gave us. Change the percentage references to .75 as this is how excel sees 75% in a cell.

    I'm sorry, I fixed it, but why did it still get deleted?

    Please attach a sample spreadsheet.

    But based on what you provided change IF(G2>=75,6,IF to IF(G2>=.75,6,IF...

    Ok I will tomorrow once I get to office.
    It's the 2nd part that screws me up, for example: IF(G2>=.75,6,IF(G2>=.65<74.9,3,IF.......? Is this right cause I keep getting errors. Thanks
