    Worksheet Protection and Edit Links

I have created a worksheet that has a vlookup that references to a table on another spreadsheet. The newly created spreadsheet is shared and I have also protected it (with the exception of a few input columns. The problem is that the spreadsheet doesn't allow for updating the links (Data, Edit Links) The Update Values choice is greyed out. How can my users open this shared spreadsheet and update the links?
    Thanks Much!

If you unprotect the workbook does the Update Values option become available?

If you attach a sample of your workbook it will be easier to find a solution. Remember to remove/replace sensitive data before uploading the file. Look here if you need help with attachments:
