    Cell Highlight issue.

    Hi all,

This is probably simple, but it's driving me batty. In Excel 2002, I'm single-clicking on different cells in my spreadsheet, and some it just highlights the cell, others it goes in and moves the cursor to the left of the data automatically. Is there any way to make it so it always highlights the cell on single left click?

    Please help. Thanks!

Could it be the double click speed on your mouse? I know you're just single clicking, but if the speed's turned down or your mouse has gone batty thison the might cause the problem. Check the mouse object on the control panel.

My apologies for the double post. Asked on a couple different forums and didn't see a post on the first few pages here, so I figured I didn't do post it, or it got deleted.

Thanks for the help, I'll check that.

    Re: Cell Highlight issue.

It was not the mouse speed. Even cranking it to the slowest or highest settings did nothing to change what it does. It just started doing this about 6 months ago, but the more I use excel, the more it seems to get worse.

    Anyone have any ideas?
