Right click filter command

The filter option is only available on some excel 2010 spreadsheets when I right click. How do I change it to show a filter option when I right click the mouse?

I see the Filter command on every cell when I right click in Excel 2010, even on an empty sheet with no data. Can you post a sample file and pinpoint the cells where the command does not show in the context menu?

Yes it is the same question. Sorry about that. I am a first time user and I am still trying to figure out how this site works. I could not find my first question and thought I must have done something wrong. I then added a new one.

The file opens in Page Break Preview. Switch to Normal view (view ribbon, leftmost icon), then you will see the filter command in the context menu.
