thanks vlady,
ive tried that, it does remove the % symbol, but still displays numbers as 0.01
ie. when i type in '1' it shows up as '0.01'
I want it to show up as the whole number I type in,
eg. type in '1' shows as '1' or '2' as '2'
currently 1 shows as 0.01, 2 as 0.02 etc
and if i change the number to no decimal places. 1 shows as 0, & 2 shows as 0
you should format the cells first to number or general before data entry.
if there's an entry like 0.01 then change to number without decimal it will surely give 0 co'z thats the whole number for 0.01
that has no effect,
formatting the cells prior to data entry, does not change the outcome for general, number or even date, I want to remove the percentage effect so that whole numbers display from what I type
i think there's a hidden prog in that workbook. can you upload a copy ( dummy )of that workbook i'll try to find it somehow. thanks
